Matt Lebrun is the Director of the Plastics Regulatory Affairs Division at Environment and Climate Change Canada. There he leads the passionate teams responsible for regulating single use plastics, the Federal Plastics Registry, and other initiatives aimed at managing plastic pollution and waste. In his 17 years with the federal public service, Matt has worked on a variety of files in the health and environmental domains including Canada’s inspection regimes for health products, emergency importation regulations during the global COVID pandemic, and the regulation of products under Canada’s Chemical’s Management Plan.
