Encorp Pacific, better known as Return-It is the not-for-profit stewardship agency responsible for the collection and recycling of most used beverage containers in British Columbia. Over the past 30 years, Encorp has been a leader in extended producer responsibility (EPR), diverting over 25 billion beverage containers for recycling. The BC deposit return system is often studied by other jurisdictions around the world as a model example. Through a variety of collection methods including, traditional depots, Express bag drop and voluntary return-to-retail, Encorp is focused on maximize recovery in the most effective and efficient way possible, both environmentally and financially.

Return-It is a federally incorporated not-for-profit organization focused on beverage container management as our core business. Our mandate is to develop, manage, and enhance systems that facilitate the recovery of used beverage containers from consumers, ensuring they are properly recycled and diverted from landfills and incineration. As a leader in product stewardship, we adhere to the principles of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and Industry Product Stewardship (IPS), actively collaborating with stakeholders to promote sustainable practices and foster a circular economy in British Columbia.
